Who is BritGirlCoder?
Being British, talking about myself is, well, not something I like to do too much. But you might like to have some idea of who I am, what I’m interested in, and what this blog is all about.
If you’re interested in my professional background, there’s no better place to look than at my LinkedIn profile. You’ll see that I have a pretty diverse background: everything from a degree in Genetics & Cell Biology, to a career as a paralegal, and then increasingly more technical roles through to the present day where I am currently working towards a career change from Technical Trainer to Software Developer.
Having spent a good few years dabbling in programming, I decided this year to take the plunge and make the jump to full-time Software Developer. Why now? Well, check out my first post.
But life is not just about our professional lives. Some of the other things I love to do are:
- Cooking (I love cooking vegan, Indian food)
- Stay active (I’m a big walker – if I can make 20,000 steps in one day I’m happy – and living in Phoenix makes that easier)
- Reading (I try not to have more than 3 books on the go ….)
- Coding (obviously)
- Experiencing new things (places, people, food, entertainment ….)
